Target and Community Partners Brighten the Holidays for The Connection’s Programs

The Target store in Orange, Connecticut hosted a heartwarming holiday shopping event for families served by one of The Connection’s programs, along with other community members in need.

Twelve children, accompanied by their parents and staff members Nicole Bajek, Andrea Ryan, and Paulina Cardenas, enjoyed an unforgettable experience thanks to the generosity of Target and local emergency service teams. Each child received $150 in gift cards to shop for toys, clothing, and essentials—creating brighter holidays for families who need it most.

The event was made even more festive with hot chocolate, cookies, donuts, mugs, candy, and coloring pages provided by Target. Members of the Orange, West Haven, and Derby Police Departments and the Orange Fire Department were on hand to assist families during their shopping experience, reinforcing the spirit of community and care. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Target contacts Zachary Esposito and Louanna O’Connell, as well as the Orange and Derby Police Departments and the Orange Fire Department, for their generosity and partnership.

Together, you made this holiday season truly magical for the families we serve.
