Community Justice

Community Justice services at The Connection are designed to promote public safety in our communities by working with our clients to address barriers that may exist for returning citizens, connect people with additional community supports that are needed for health and wellbeing, and to mitigate community justice involvement when possible. Our caring staff provide these services from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective at all times.

Center for Treatment of Problem Sexual Behavior

CTPSB provides treatment services to individuals with problematic sexual behavior. These treatment services help clients to identify triggers, manage risk factors, learn socially acceptable behaviors, and set positive future goals so they do not reoffend.

Referrals are received through Federal Probation, Court Support Services Division, the Board of Pardons and Parole, the Department of Correction.

Cochegan House

A residential work release program designed to support adult men under the supervision of the Department of Correction as they transition back into the community following a period of incarceration. Participants receive support from case managers, assistance with job readiness, and connections to local services like health care, education, and vocational training.

Crest Center

A community-based day reporting program that provides skill building, recovery-based and pro-social services to individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis who are justice involved. Services are provided in collaboration with the DMHAS operated Connecticut Mental Health Center to ensure comprehensive and individualized programming.

Eddy Center

A transitional 24-hour program that supports adult men who are under the supervision of the Department of Correction. The program provides case management services and employment readiness support while facilitating access to community-based resources for clinical treatment, continuing education and formal vocational training opportunities.

January Center

Adult men under the supervision of the Department of Correction or the Court Support Services Division receive residential treatment to address a history of problematic sexual behavior. In addition to treatment, clients are supported with psycho-educational and case management services. The program’s primary goal is to promote positive behavioral change and reduce the risk of reoffending.

Referrals are received through the Department of Correction and the Court Support Services Division.

Michael Perlin Center For Substance Abuse Intervention

The program provides education about the risks and effects of substance use for justice involved people. Participants are ordered by the court to attend due to qualifying drug and alcohol-related charges. The program is designed to help people change their behavior and avoid future legal issues.

Reach (Re-Entry Assisted Community Housing)

Provides transitional scattered site case management services to adults who are under the supervision of Parole and/or Probation. Through engaging in REACH’s transitional services clients have an opportunity to demonstrate positive pro-social behaviors and community connectivity. The program supports clients in accessing community-based resources for clinical treatment, continuing education, and opportunities for employment.

Referrals are received through the Department of Correction or the Court Support Services Division.
