Drumming Study
Focused on the premise that drumming has many benefits which include creating a sense of community, processing trauma and positive impact on self-esteem, this controlled trial explores the benefits of participating in a drumming group led by a certified Music Therapist. Second Story
An ongoing controlled trial to test the impact of an eight-week writing class for halfway house residents at The Connection. The course is led by a social worker, and includes crafting a positive autobiographical story and a relapse prevention letter for clients to revisit after leaving the facility.
