David
“I truly believe that part of the reason that I succeeded in my endeavors was due to the trainings and positive relationship and role models that I encountered while at Roger Sherman. I took a lot of these experiences and exercises with me and I do not know how I could have done it without them.”
David’s childhood was filled with struggles. He spent many years navigating the correctional system, beginning with a robbery charge at 17, and has served time for armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and for a violation of probation. Following his most recent release, David entered the Roger Sherman House program, where he began his career in the hospitality industry.
Today, David is a new father, a fiancé, and has recently secured a position as an Executive Housekeeping Manager for a national hotel chain. David’s success after graduating from Roger Sherman House is a testament not only to his intelligence, charm and determination, but also to his commitment to family, friends, and colleagues. These relationships fuel his desire to build a full life as a productive and valued citizen in the community.
