For private nonprofit, state, county and municipal government

Institute for Problem Gambling
serving as an important resource for science based information on the study, prevention and treatment of problem gambling. The not-for-profit Institute was founded in 1997 by a group of leaders in the field, including four winners of the National Council on Problem Gambling's highest honor – the Herman Goldman Foundation Award. IPG sponsored an International Symposium on problem gambling and co-occurring disorders in October 2004.

Evidence-Based Practice
Evidence-Based Practice, or EBP, its the new buzz word. What does it really mean? The Connection is currently assisting the Connecticut Department of Correction in its efforts to target the best evidence-based/research-based practices for community corrections in Connecticut.

NonProfit Organizational Development
Governance, Planning, Collaborating, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, and more. For the past 30 years, The Connection's President, Peter Nucci, and The Connection staff have been providing assistance to nonprofit Boards of Directors and organizations. Do you have the best people, plans and infrastructure to make your organization's vision come true?

Sexual Abuse
The Connection's Center for the Treatment of Problem Sexual Behavior is currently treating over 800 sex offenders in Connecticut. The Center works to prevent future sexual abuse through state-of-the-art assessment, treatment and training. The Center's Director, David D'Amora, and our extraordinary staff have consulted with, presented and trained professionals and public officials throughout North America.

Future Plans
The Connection is currently further developing its nationally recognized Supportive Housing for Families program in Connecticut. The agency will be researching its unique child and family focused approach. When the research is completed, we anticipate being able to offer other states a thoroughly research supported model for effectively meeting important child protective services mandates while reversing generational cycles of abuse and neglect.
