What
do you do at the Connection?
I am a Program Manager for Supportive Housing for Families and Supportive
Housing Program. I managing a staff of seven and oversee a case load of
eighty clients. Our clients have many issues and our job is to ensure
that they are getting the services and assistance needed to help them
move forward with their lives.
What
do you like about your job?
Seeing the clients move forward is the biggest privilege in working in
Supportive Housing. It is so nice to see our families reunify with their
children in safe affordable housing.
What
did you do before working at the Connection?
Prior to the Connection, I worked in the business world at Seven World
Trade Center for Salomon Smith Barney and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Throughout
my time in the business world, my happiest moments were volunteering to
feed the homeless in Manhattan. Hence, my transition to the social service
field was very smooth and fulfilling.
What
is your educational background?
I received my BS with a concentration in Leadership Management from Manhattan
College and an MSW with a concentration in Drug and Alcohol Addiction
from Fordham University. I am currently pursuing my LCSW license.
