Our mission is to assist individuals in reclaiming their lives and personal dignity from the ravages of addiction. By providing a drug free environment and effective programming, The Connection House lessens the destructive impact of substance abuse in the community.
The Connection House, our flagship program, was founded by board member Kätchen Coley and her friend Nancy Flanner. With the help of Dr. Edward Friedman and other local community members, The Connection House opened its doors in 1972 and has been serving individuals who suffer from substance abuse since. In a ceremony on November 22, 2005, the facility was dedicated in Kätchen Coley’s honor. It is a 14 bed licensed residential substance abuse treatment facility located in a residential neighborhood in Middletown. 10 of the beds are reserved for men 18 and older. Of the 14 beds, the Department of Correction reserves 7 beds for people coming out of the correctional system in need of substance abuse treatment.
