The coordination of a statewide alternative to incarceration centers to do community service.

Our mission is to give back to the communities by organizing community service labor crews to help man events throughout the state, helping those who would otherwise be incarcerated learn what it feels like to work as a team and better communities.

The Statewide Community Service operates out of Middletown, and is funded by Court Support Services Division. The program is designed to ensure that all community service crews are available and organized to serve the different communities within the state.

The Community Service Crews can provide:

  • Set up and break down of events like mud volleyball, and the Nutmeg Games.
  • Manual labor, for example the construction of an entry ramp at Maritime Education Network, in Old Saybrook.
