Project Safe Neighborhoods
The Connection, Inc., serves as the fiscal agent for the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Connecticut, for the administration of the Project Safe Neighborhoods grants from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance. The grants are provided to subrecipient agencies throughout Connecticut and provide funding to local police departments, enforcement agencies and community-based organizations to reduce gun violence and to support prevention and prosecution efforts. Over $1.6 million dollars of grant funding has been funneled into Connecticut as a result of the Project Safe Neighborhoods grants since 2004.
