Anti-Gang Initiative
The Connection, Inc. serves as the fiscal agent for the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Connecticut, for the administration of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Anti-Gang grants from the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Anti-Gang grants are a complement to the Project Safe Neighborhoods anti-gun programs to provide funding to local police departments, enforcement agencies, and community based organizations to reduce gang violence and to support prevention and prosecution efforts. Over $650,000 dollars of grant funding has been funneled into Connecticut as a result of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Anti-Gang grants since 2006.
